2010 Iron Horse Vineyards Estate Classic Vintage Brut 750 mL
Manufacturer: Iron Horse Vineyards
Brand: Iron Horse Vineyards
Hand harvested in the chilly fog of early morning, our Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes are gently pressed as whole clusters yielding base wines of great delicacy. The juice ferments slowly at 62¡ to 65¡ f retain- ing vibrant fruit esters. In blending this wine we chose Pinot Noir and Chardonnay lots that were a bit shy by nose with a touch of Õfruit forwardnessÕ resulting in a sparkling wine that shows wonderful complexity that is rich, nutty and toasty with a hint of fruit. The dosage for this wine is 5mls of Brut LEX (75% Pinot Noir, 25% Chardonnay), 5 mls Blanc de Blancs LEX and 2mls 2010 Thomas Road Pinot Noir
Karma opened it doors August 10, 2007 and established itself as the first Methode Champenoise house in the Lake Chelan AVA. Located on the beautiful South Shore; owners Julie and Bret wanted to maintain the agricultural feel to the 70 acre estate. In doing so, they decided to build an underground wine cave. This allowed for a substantial building with very little impact on the neighbourhood and surrounding vineyards. This 3,000 square foot facility was the perfect answer for temperature control, as it rarely fluctuates much past 55 degrees. As the winery grew, the wine cave became a very popular choice for private parties and weddings. The acoustics are dynamite, some even think it makes the wine taste better! Karma Vineyards is a strong supporter of arts and the youth in the Lake Chelan Valley. One dollar from every wine flight sold at Karma is donated towards arts, drama and healthy children's programs here in the Lake Chelan Valley
Our best-seller Champagne; in a blind tasting, most people preferred it to more expensive samples from more famous Maisons! A French Rose Grower champagne from the Grande Montagne de Reims in Champagne. It is a Brut, but it's full of fruit!
Each harvest Head Winemaker Bob Swain looks for a small number of lots that have remarkable representations of both a given varietal and the Mendocino appellation. While he does not find these every year, when he does, they become a Parducci RESERVE wine, the best of the best. These wines are intended to be elegant today and age with grace.
White in spite of its name, this vintage French Grower Champagne is a 50/50 blend of Pinot and Chardonnay grapes assembled only in exceptional years. Balanced, fragrant, structured and long in the mouth; a real delight!
This wine is from 100% estate grown fruit. Our vines are sheltered in the foothills of Carter’s mountain in the Monticello American Viticultural Area (AVA). This Brut is made via Méthode Champenoise by blending 95% Chardonnay and 5% Pinot Noir. Hand picking by night and gently pressing ensures that this wine retains all of its best qualities. After a combination of stainless steel and French oak barrel aging, the wine gains complexity by aging on the lees in the bottle for a minimum of 2 years. At disgorging, a low dosage is added to balance acidity and improve mouth-feel.
